About Me

I’m Rachael Wheat, a creative leader and versitile designer with over 7 years of experience building bold, strategy-led visual storytelling across branding, motion, digital, and print. My design journey began as an entry-level designer for the Oklahoma City Thunder, where I honed my skills in sports marketing and developed an early passion for high-impact, emotionally resonant design.

While still in college at Oklahoma State University, where I earned a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Marketing, I founded Rachael Wheat Designs, a freelance practice I’ve run ever since. Through it, I’ve collaborated with clients like Sunday Extracts, WISE, the LA Kings, and even returned to work with the OKC Thunder on special projects.

From there, my career grew rapidly. I worked with companies like Cameo and Represent, contributing to high-profile projects for NBCUniversal, Amblin, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Back to the Future, Fast and Furious and Jurassic Park franchises.

Currently, I serve as Creative Director at Veri MedTech Holdings, where I rose from marketing designer to senior designer, eventually leading the rebrand of the company and launching impactful campaigns like Too Easy. Most recently, I directed the visual identity of Rotation Magazine, a bold new quarterly publication dedicated to stories from the alternative wellness space.

I specialize in motion design, brand systems, and campaigns that feel as emotionally grounded as they are visually powerful. Whether I’m leading teams or diving into the design myself, I bring deep attention to detail, strategic thinking, and a passion for crafting visuals that connect.
